Why should accreditation be important to me, the health care consumer?

As a health care consumer, wouldn’t you want to know if your health care provider is going above and beyond to ensure the safety and quality of your care? When a health care organization voluntarily seeks accreditation or certification, it demonstrates a strong commitment to giving safe, high quality health care and to continually working to improve that care.

SWLA Center for Health Services is accredited by the Joint Commission. SWLA Center for Health Services is accredited by the Joint Commission. This accreditation is the equivalent of the Good Housekeeping “Seal of Approval” for medical facilities and insures that the services you receive are the safest and highest quality available. All hospitals are required to have Joint Commission accreditation but it is voluntary for physician offices like SWLA Center for Health Services. We have been accredited by the Joint Commission since 2006. As a Joint Commission accredited organization, we are committed to quality and safety.
